Elder Beckstead turns 20!!!

First Of ALL, THANK YOU ALL SOOOOOOOO MUCH FOR THE HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARDS!!!! and letters, and e-mails!! OK my day has been awesome, I played soccer today, which I think is gonna help me alot with football cause im gettin a lot quicker. But we'll see.

So congratulations with the victory over Malad, i'm sure its safe to say that it's those lunges that I taught you all. So yeah that's why you won right. haha! Seriously good job, I cant wait to see them next year. Maybe I'll get home in time for state, if I do, i'm going and we will party it up in Boise for a week. Clean parties right, but always a party!
So this week has been a pretty good one. Kevin did end up getting baptised which was super cool. He´s a neat kid, drives me crazy sometimes, but a great person. And yes he already wants to go on a mission, so we are preparing everything so that 'll be able to go to the Temple in June with the ward from here on the 28. That would be amazing to be able to see, but that means that we have a lot of work to do with him so that he can be rightfully prepared to go and learn alot.
So today I had like 20 new emails which was awesome. all of them from people saying happy birthday, and im pretty sure all of them receive copìes of these emails, so thank you very very much, they are well appreciated.
So I'm thinking you all got an email from a person named Jose Antonio this week. He is one of the people I was telling you about. He´s super cool and really helps us out with everything, really one of the better members I've met in Honduras. So yeah it's safe to talk to him if you really want. He has a brother too named Dennis who is also super super tight.

I'm stoked that Peyton got the letter, I hope that there is enough money for all of the kids there to have a limp or two. That limp that I sent you all is worth about 10 cents in us dollars, and the thing is, it will buy you a pretty good snack. How rediculous is that.
I'm sorry about the short letter today, I don't have any time left. Im gonna have Tono send you all some pictures, or i'm gonna try, i'll talk to him and see what he can do. If not, I'm sorry.
You all know I love you and keep movin forward in the work. and remember, EVERY member of the church is a missionary, so that means that we can all do something in this great and marvolous work.Give references to the missionares ite.(his version of allright!)
Peace out and love you all

p.s im thinking the call will be at around 6 at night. (the mothersday call YES!!)Peace and adios, cuidense

A Dog in Church!!!

Well looks to me like im gonna have to turn you all in for sendin me naked pictures of a chick, even though she is pretty freakin cute, maybe not this time!!!! ( Chelsi was giving Darbi a bath and I sent him a picture shes 9 months!) I wanna get home and kiss that girl soo freakin fast, Im gonna fake sick, come home for a week, kiss that adorable little girl, and then come back to the mission. OM gosh!! Love that.
Ok well your gonna have to fill me in on Jesses homecoming, so when does Jeff leave for the mish??? and Drew too, haha rhyme. I cant believe it, there just all growin up on me. Im not really sure what i'm gonna do, its so weird that the high school days are over. Now all of my group has to grow up and be big boys and girls. Well fill me in on the marriage situation, are there gonna be girls there for me when I get home??? haha I hope so Ive been lookin for investigators every day and i'm not sure I can keep lookin for investigators when I get home, and usually there not interested believe it or not.
So the answer is yes, I have recieved the package and its killing me, or like they say here, no aguanto, something like that. (This is his birthday package and it has funfetti cake mix and the canned frosting-he is calling it topping) The other day I was in our house and I looked over at the topping and just couldnt take it, I opened it up and starting eating it, seriously I havent tasted anything like that in soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooolong, it was soooooooooooooooooooo good. I had to take it to a members house and there they are gonna hide it from me, its a good thing too, how am I supposed to help people with the word of wisdom if I can't handle a little addiction. I cant wait to eat that cake though.

Ok so a first, Sunday a dog walked into the chapel, and get this, NOBODY DID ANYTHING. haha the kids all just sat there and laughed and the adults just sat there, I went to get it and throw it out but it started yelping, and yeah in that moment everyone stared at me. So the dog just kinda chilled in the meeting, how weird is that. At one point it went up to the front and stood on its two hind legs and acted like a speaker. And yet still, nobody did anything about it. hahahaa WELCOME TO HONDURAS!!! Then finally someone stood up and chased it out, one lady did throw a shoe at it. haha neat Im not gonna forget that one, the lady is super strange too, looks just like the type of person that would do that.

So I read Jesses email, my comp was actually asking me about that the other day, hes like ¨hey comp how come we never go and bible bash¨ I told him it got us nowhere and that he should study more the Book of Mormon, then hes like, no I have to be ready, so this week I'm going to take him to talk to a pastor from the Evangelical Chruch. It's super fun cause they don't have a clue and you can destroy them. But like Jesse says, It gets you nowhere. You can really set them up super good too, they trip all over themselves all the time. One time I had one lady soooo confused by her own words that finally she said, well I like my church more so im gonna stay here. I told her she was pretty much doomed and went on my way. It was neat but there are actually churches that make there leaders read the Book of Mormon just to be able to bible bash with us and we always win. In churches here, they give classes on how to bash with Mormons too, haha they come locked and loaded and always go home sad and finished:(. So thats what I have on bible bashing. And yes I always saw the transvestites there in Monjaras. haha they were sooo weird and would always whistle at you and tell you they love you. The other day I saw one of them dudes that was drunk stumbling all over himself/herself. haha it was not very pleasant, she/he seemed to like my comp quite a bit. he was freaked out a little. Other than that I don't know what to tell you all.
Kevin is gettin baptised this weekend so we finally got permision which is super awesome, and thats it, we have alot that will get baptised, but once again, I wont be here to see it happen. I will probably get a change next month. I'm thinkin anyway. Well good luck with your softball team, keep to it. And keep movin forward in the Church Its true and nobody can prove different. I LOVE YOU ALL SOOOO MUCH and keep and eye on my boys, and the girl too. (the girl??)and Tate tooo he seems to get in a lot of trouble too.

Hoping for a baptism!!

Hey so whats up fam. How goes the battle and how goes life? Here it's about the same in all truth. We're workin hard still and the area is super hard. We are trying to baptise this seventeen year old kid, he wants to sooo bad, but the poeple he lives with won't sign the paper to give him permission. Is that not the dumbest thing ever. And guess what? They are members that always go to church. is that not super stupid???? I was thinking that i'm going to have to go over to their house and shave to poo out of them, haha so they give him permission. aha hopefully. So here, all is well and cool like I said. Fast Sunday was alright, but I didn't get the chance to stand up and bear my testimony. The members here in the city are willing to talk more. In the South not as many have a testimony so the elders share their testimonies, but here in the city, the members are a lot stronger and a lot are returned missionaries. .
So how are the boys?
Your softball team sounds super tough, I hope you do well at state this year, just dont lose to Malad Ok. (It is going to be hard to even make it to state. I hope we do!! We played Malad 3 times last year and they beat us all three. They never lost any players this year so they should be tough to beat)
Next year at this time I'll be almost home hahahahahaaha yay. Just playin, the mission is tight. I think at this time next year I won't want to come home. I miss you all so much that in the end, I will come home. Thats super weird to think about though, I will say that. Alright, what else to tell you all??ok thats all I got. I love you all and hope for the best and pray for you all every day at least twice a day.

Honduras "Holy Week" things slow down!

The Wild Bunch!!Darbi
8 months old! left to right
Eli, Colby, Jaxon, Peyton holding Darbi, Stockton, Blaize, and Parker

Another week down. I sent him some recent pics of the Boy's and Darbi--- He seemed to like them more than I thought. Some things he will never brag about, but when it comes to "his" boys (the nephews) and Darbi he does not hold back!!! :)

Holy cow, those pictures were awesome. I loved them sooo much, I sure do have some cute sobrinos. los amo muchiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiisimo. Holy crap she is the cutest thing I have ever seen in my life.
Well the questions first I guess. Conference was awesome, I loved everyone of the talks, but there was one that stood out to me alot, I bet you can all guess which one too. I can't remember the name of the dood, but the guy that talked about mothers and used the cow example. Wow everyone I was with just gasped after he was done talking. IT WAS INCREDIBLE.
(Sunday Session Bradley D Foster of the Seventy)
What Jonny told you about is right on, nobody was home this week and i'm pretty sure the entire mission struggled from it. All my investigators left and went to some beach somewhere, and i'm pretty sure they are probaby sinning there too. haha But its ok the baptism will help them out with that.
The next week is pretty much a party week too, it's kinda like one entire hang over, for a week. The people got sooo hammered drunk during spring break that now they are all super hung over. The people here just don't really get it, someone needs to teach them, that more beer doesn't help a hang over. It does fix it for a while, but then they gotta deal with the pain again. That is what's goin on this week
The easter egg hunt sounds super cool, I do miss Tyler and Jordan a lot but the fools dont even email me, u r gonna have to give them a good talking to this week so I get an email next week from the two jiotes. hahahaha I love that word. It sure is nice to hear about them, they were always really good buds growing up, we did have our difficulties but we always made it through, I guess that's what being brothers is all about. And once again I must mention that My nephews are awesome studs. That's quite a compliment if people say that I look like that little girl, nothing ugly can come from that face. haha
So this area is awesome compared to the rest, Triunfo was way, way hard and I'm glad that I am far from there. But I still love that place and I hope to be able to visit again some day.
I was gonna tell you guys about this today too, but in this area there is a family that is absolutley awesome. Familia Martinez, they are by far the fav family I have known in the mission. These people give me food all the time and sometimes, when work is just going super super hard, I pass through the house just to chat with the kids there. There are two returned missionaries that live there that are awesome, Toño and Dennis. These two are incredible people, they make sure everyone else is happy before themselves. Some others friends I have made here in my area are, Leo and Fernando, we are trying to talk them into going on missions, but it's not lookin to good right now. But they are awesome.I will try to send a picture of me with this group of cuotes, haber si todos estan un dia de estes.
If you are ever wondering what I am doing, just think to yourself. walkin down a street in Honuras trying to find an investigator to teach, listening to the pathetic excuses from the neat little catrachos, and you'll probably be correct. They come up with the weirdest things. I love you all and hope that you can stay strong in the word of God. Lets follow the words that the prophets told us and strive to become better each day. and remember to always have family home evenings.
